LOCATION

The Jerusalem Gate Hotel is a classic city hotel situated at the entrance of  Jerusalem, close to the Central Bus Station and across the street from the ICC (International Congress Center). The adjacent shopping mall (Center 1) offers several restaurants as well as many shops. It is a 15 minute walk from the open air market and 30 minute walk from the Old City. The Israel, Science and Bibleland Museums, the Supreme Court and the Hebrew University are all within easy walking distance.

ACCOMMODATION

The 10-storey hotel has 298 bright and comfortable rooms including 40 connecting rooms (ideal for families) and 4 suites (2 of these suites have enormous sundecks overlooking the Jerusalem skyline).

All rooms have individually controlled air conditioning and heating, Cable TV with remote control, direct dial telephone with voice mail, hairdryer, wall-to-wall carpeting and the possibility of adding a third bed. Many rooms have mini fridges available (for a nominal daily fee), a personal safe and WIFI (high speed wireless internet connection) for those with laptop computers. There are also a number of non smoking and handicapped rooms.

FACILITIES

• Dining:  The cuisine is international with Glatt Kosher (LeMehadrin) Rabbinate Supervision. The restaurant is situated on the ground floor and has a dark, marble floor and wooden tables and chairs. The room is extremely light as all of its "walls" are made of glass.
• Leisure Activities: The concierge is able to book organised tours and change money. There is a solarium, beauty parlour, hairdresser and synagogue in the hotel.
• Entertainment: The hotel boasts an elegant high ceiling lobby, a mezzanine bar, coffee shop and a lovely ballroom. In addition, the hotel has six conference and banqueting halls providing the perfect setting not only for business conferences, board meetings and seminars but also for festive occasions such as wedding and Bar Mitzvah receptions and cocktails, as well as family parties, from 10 to 550 guests. The Glatt Kosher cuisine adds to guest's enjoyment of your Bar Mitzvah, Bat Mitzvah, Brit or Wedding.
• Other Amenities: The hotel is able to arrange car rental for its guests and has plentiful parking for private cars and buses. A laundry and dry-cleaning service is also provided for those who require it and a doctor is on call for any emergencies.
