TRAVELINK PRESS RELEASE NUMBER 2 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Pesach Holidays and Covid-19 Coronavirus 18.3.20
With European borders closed and flights grounded, the current situation is exceptional - in 37 years of business Travelink has gained vast experience in handling the unexpected for our clients and their travel arrangements. This same approach has been adopted for the ever-changing situation of Coronavirus and we assure our customers that we are treating each booking on a case-by-case basis, working with our customers to try to find a satisfactory outcome. We urge them to put their faith in our handling of the situation.
The government advice in Israel is developing on a regular basis and Travelink is well informed and in regular contact with the Israeli Government Tourist Office, hoteliers and airlines. Travelink’s dedicated professional and efficient team are working to help all our clients with their travel arrangements in the next few weeks and beyond.
The direct charter flight from Luton to Eilat for Pesach 7-16 April has been cancelled. We are in the process of contacting all our customers booked on this flight to advise them and arrange a refund.
Many clients are scheduled to celebrate Pesach in other destinations and regrettably, the impact of this virus is being felt worldwide. It was unthinkable a few a weeks ago, but the majority of Pesach programmes in Europe are now cancelled. We are working tirelessly to liaise with each of the programmes and resolve this swiftly for our customers. We would like to thank our customers that have been very understanding at this time.
Travelink’s Managing Director Anthony Gothold said: “In these unprecedented times a licensed and reliable travel agent proves their worth. Our clients know that we are here for them and with our industry contacts built up over 37 years you can be assured that we will take away the hassle of cancelling or rebooking your trip.”
We continue to monitor the latest travel advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Organisation (FCO) and the World Health Organisation (WHO) and to act accordingly. As well as providing holidays and cruises worldwide, Travelink is the UK’s leading tour operator to Israel. Travelink has many future bookings and are endeavouring to find the best possible alternatives for our holiday makers and customers. We are regularly updating our website travel advice page.
