Travelling with the family holiday is often restricted to school holidays however there’s nothing stopping you from booking your family holiday at any point in the year.
When thinking about where to go, it’s important that there’s something for everyone to get involved in and making sure there’s enough theme parks for the children to enjoy! There are plenty of great destinations around the world the whole family can enjoy.
California
California is a great destination for the family and filled with thrilling theme parks such as Six Flags. You’ll find some of the largest rollercoaster in the world based here so it’s definitely an experience if you’re brave enough.
You could also enjoy surfing on Orange County’s beautiful beaches. Huntington Beach is one recognised for hosting surfing events and as legend surfer Corky Carroll said “Orange County is the cultural centre of the surf world and Huntington Beach is like the heartbeat”.
Yellowstone is a national park here and is the world’s first national park filled with wildlife activities, waterfalls and is popular for camping. Why not explore the beautiful waterfalls, guided tours, hiking, snowboarding, skiing, fly-fishing and dining here.
Orlando
Theme parks here are BIG and all ages will definitely find something to keep them entertained. The number one place of interest seems to be Universal Studios which is part of Universal Orlando® Resort. It’s so much more than a theme park; it’s an entire universe that will give you an action-packed visit, with thrills that will last till the end of your holiday. Stephen Spielberg once said “Universal Studios will give people the chance to discover their own hero, this gives you an idea of what to expect!”
You could also bring the family to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The easiest way to discover the magic here is with a Fast-Pass which will get you quickly into the main areas. You will hear great reviews on the Kilimanjaro Safari; if you’re lucky enough to get here early the animals are usually a bit more active. It’s been known for Giraffes putting their heads right into the vehicles.
Costa Rica
Looking for a break when summer is over? Costa Rica is recognised as a tropical paradise, this is a great destination to enjoy a holiday getaway from the winter falls - known to be the happiest destinations around the world and perfect for families that are searching for variety on their holiday.
What great about Cost Rica is the array of family resorts to stay at, children can still enjoy exploring the outdoors but within the vicinity of the resorts where their parents are at. The resorts usually put on kids clubs and have exciting activities planned where it give kids the chance to rummage around the wild life.
Canary Islands
Looking for that all-round family holiday destination? Then the Canary Islands are the perfect place for you. It’s complete with many beaches, theme parks and sunshine. In Tenerife you’ll find people flocking to Loro Park to see the various tropical birds and to the Zoo Monkey Park as part of their daily excursions, which is a great day out. There’s a plenty more to do too, from beaches, shopping and sightseeing.
